FAQ

Buying questions, answered quickly.

Keep the main path simple: understand Cynus, choose a color, and use Shopify checkout.

What is Cynus?

Cynus is a portable AI chess robot that plays on a real chessboard and moves physical pieces.

Can a young player put the phone aside while playing?

Yes. During built-in AI play, Cynus can be operated from the board without a phone, tablet, or internet connection. Initial setup, updates, and optional connected modes may still use the official app or another device.

Can I play a remote friend from the physical board?

Cynus can use source-referenced third-party paths such as Chessconnect for online-platform play. The connection is not direct board-to-board: a compatible device, online account, and internet connection may be required. Review compatible tools and confirm current requirements with the publisher.
